The server uses the BreweryX plugin for brewing drinks.
Brewing here is not as simple as vanilla Minecraft. Some recipes are complex and need precise timing and ingredients. A single mistake can ruin the drink or produce something entirely different.
Fermenting is the first step for most drinks. Use a clock on a cauldron to check how long the ingredients have been fermenting.
Some recipes do not need distilling. Those that do sometimes need more than one distilling step. The number of steps is listed in the recipe.
Aging matters for many brews. It has to be done in the barrel type the recipe calls for. Barrel size does not matter.
Small barrel (9 slots)
Use 8 wooden stairs to build a barrel shape. Place a sign on the lower right side with "Barrel" on the top line.
Big barrel (27 slots)
Use 5 fences, 16 wooden stairs, and 18 wood planks to build a barrel shape. Attach a spigot (a fence) and a sign with "Barrel" written on it.
Vanilla barrel
You can also use a plain Minecraft barrel, but the wood type is always oak.
| Drink | Ingredients | Cook time | Distilled | Age | Barrel | Alcohol |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Beer | 6x wheat | 8 min | No | 3 years (3 days) | Any | + |
| Rum | 18x sugar cane | 6 min | 2 times | 14 years | Oak | ++ |
The amount of alcohol in a brew is applied to the player when they drink it. Depending on the quality, the effects vary.
After drinking, it takes a while for the alcohol to wear off. The level steadily decreases over time, and drops faster if you consume milk and bread.
